Very nice job. Since configuration most of time are needed i put on line some documentations on the ww.jabber.lu web site. At the moment only french guides are available here:

-1- without STUN server:
http://www.jabber.lu/index.php/guide-utilisation-jabber-luxembourg/37-jabberlu-serveur-xmpp-heberge-au-luxembourg-/99-configurer-psi-pour-la-voix-et-la-video-methode-1.html

-2- with STUN server:
http://www.jabber.lu/index.php/guide-utilisation-jabber-luxembourg/37-jabberlu-serveur-xmpp-heberge-au-luxembourg-/98-configurer-psi-pour-la-voix-et-la-video-methode-1.html

Hope it helps.

Last but not least, for french FREE ADSL users it seams you have to activate UPNP into your Freebox ( at least the v3 ) to let UDP 8010 and UDP 8011 working fine.

No, Psi only supports the latest (and now official) Jingle protocol, while Google Talk and gmail clients still use an outdated protocol. Hopefully Google will update their clients soon and all will be well.

You're missing the 'speexenc' GStreamer element. It is from gst-plugins-good, unless your distro split it out.

You might be able to use 0.10.21 with psimedia 1.0.2, but I offer no support in that case. If it does work, beware that future versions of psimedia might easily break it.

Thanks Justin.

At the moment, psimedia requires Gstreamer >= 0.10.22. Would it be a lot of work to make it work with 0.10.21 ? I know a lot of people who'd like that.

Installation of psimedia is app-specific. With Psi, you "install" it by copying libgstprovider.so into /usr/lib/psi/plugins/, and this is described in Psi's Readme.

If you are packaging for a distro, I suggest choosing one of two approaches:

1) Make a package called psi-plugin-media (or whatever naming scheme is consistent with your distro for plugin packages) that contains /usr/lib/psi/plugins/libgstprovider.so

2) Put libgstprovider.so into the psi package.
