New Delta website

The new Delta site is here, powered by WordPress. Now things look a little nicer, and the site should be easier for me to maintain. Most importantly, the main page and roadmap have been updated to 2006. Also, all of my articles are now blog entries (dated in the past, as appropriate). And there’s a SAPO banner!

Although nearly all of the content discussed on this website is my doing, the Delta website is not meant to be personal. Posts will always be relevant to Delta, Psi, Jabber, and related. You won’t have to worry about me writing about the weather or some cat. What you will see are cool Qt/C++ tricks, software ideas, and progress updates.

Hi Craig,

Thank you for your report. Tablet support sounds useful, especially given you have a large number of users with tablets.

By the way, Barracuda support is pretty good about passing along issues reported by active or potential customers. Even the simplest feature requests are received by the development teams and considered, so don't be shy.

Justin,

Any chance of getting tablet PC functionality built into the Barracuda IM product? We work with a great number of tablet PCs in the medical industry and recently deployed the Barracuda IM client to over 160 PCs. We ran into a problem with tablet PC users(approx 75 systems) and the Barracuda IM client. The issue is that there is no prompt within the text box for the tablet keyboard. Typically, on a tablet PC when you hover in a text box an option appears to launch the keyboard. Also, the users of tablet PCs commented that there is not a send button. These would be very helpful for future updates. We are currently using Pandion is a work around for tablet PC users however this is not the best solution. We prefer to support and maintain one application.

Sorry for posting this here, we made a point to tell Barracuda support about this issue and didn't get the impression it would be passed along. Their suggestion was to use a 3rd party client of the Barracuda software did not do what we needed.

Kind Regards,
Craig
